Parade of Colors Hike, Saturday, Oct. 5

Our annual Fall Color Hike, the Parade of Colors, will once again be held on Saturday, October 5, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Obey Interpretive Center. No one should miss Autumn on the Ice Age Trail, and this is a great opportunity to hike and enjoy the fall color, cool weather, and camaraderie.

Chapter volunteers (any takers?) will shuttle hikers to their starting points, be it 6 miles or anything less. You get to enjoy the good part, the splendid views, colors, smells, and spirits of the fall woods. Somehow you’ll magically end up back where you started, for a chance to grab some refreshments, and perhaps stay a bit longer with the kids to see the exhibits and games at the Obey Center. You might even buy a T-shirt, fleece, hat, or trail guide.

If you would like to help, we always need drivers, hosts, and  refreshment bakers. Let us know how you want to help, and everyone will appreciate it.
